Sales Summary - Comparison Tab
The Comparison tab is used to compare the currently requested Sales Summary report with another Sales Summary report requested for a different date range.

To access the Comparison tab, select the Comparison tab on the Report Results panel on the Sales Summary screen. |
Using this tab, users can compare the current sales data with sales data from a previous time frame to determine whether sales productivity has improved. The current time frame for the report is automatically entered in the From Current Date field and the To Current Date field when the Comparison tab is accessed. Likewise, a time frame is also automatically entered in the From Previous Date field and the To Previous Date field, but this time frame can be changed.
To compare the current sales summary report to a previous time frame, enter the desired time frame in the From Previous Date field and the To Previous Date field, and click the RUN button. Information displays comparing sales statistics from the entered dates ranges.
The Comparison Criteria section is used to select two date ranges to compare sales statistics on the report.
When the comparison tab is accessed, the From Current Date field and the To Current Date field automatically display the date range for which the current report was requested. The From Previous Date field and the To Previous Date field display the date range immediately preceding the range entered in the From Current Date field and the To Current Date field, matching the current range in length. For example, if the report is requested for the current month, the previous range will be the prior month.
To compare sales statistics for two different time periods, enter the oldest date range in the From Previous Date field and the To Previous Date field. Then enter the most recent date range in the From Current Date field and the To Current Date field, and click the RUN button.
The following fields are available in the Comparison Criteria section.
From Previous Date: The beginning date in a previous range of dates displays, but can be changed. The previous date range immediately precedes the current date range and matches the current date range in length. When this field is accessed, a calendar displays, where a date can be selected. The date range cannot exceed 92 days.
To Previous Date: The ending date in a previous range of dates displays, but can be changed. The previous date range immediately precedes the current date range and matches the current date range in length. When this field is accessed, a calendar displays, where a date can be selected. The date range cannot exceed 92 days.
From Current Date: The beginning date in the range of dates for which the report was originally requested displays, but can be changed. When this field is accessed, a calendar displays, where a date can be selected. The date range cannot exceed 92 days.
To Current Date: The ending date in the range of dates for which the report was originally requested displays, but can be changed. When this field is accessed, a calendar displays, where a date can be selected. The date range cannot exceed 92 days.
The Interactions and Transactions Results panel is used to compare the total number of vehicle sales and the number of sales that were sold to XtreamService prospects during each date range.
The following rows are available in the Interactions and Transactions Results panel.
Sold Matches: (Link) The number of vehicles sold to XtreamService prospects during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
All Sales Transactions: The total number of all vehicles sold during the selected date ranges displays. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Match % of all Transactions: The percentage of vehicles sold that were sold to XtreamService prospects during the selected date ranges displays. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
The Gross Profit and Revenue Results panel is used to compare the profits and revenue generated by vehicle sales during each date range.
Note - To view gross profit information throughout the Sales Summary report, Yes must be selected in the View Gross Profit row of the Global section of the Edit User panel on the User Management screen.
The following rows are available in the Gross Profit and Revenue Results panel.
Sold Matches Gross: The gross profit generated by vehicles sold to XtreamService prospects during the selected date ranges displays. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Sold Matches Revenue: The revenue generated by vehicles sold to XtreamService prospects during the selected date ranges displays. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Avg Gross Profit per Transaction: The average gross profit generated by sold matches during the selected date ranges displays. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Avg Revenue per Transaction:The average revenue generated by sold matches during the selected date ranges displays. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
The Customer Type section is used to compare the number of vehicle sales during each date range based on the type of customer.
Note - This section only available when Deal Date is selected in the Type field in the Report Criteria section.
The following rows are available in the Customer Type section.
Service To Sales Customers: (Link) The number of customers with service history, but no sales history with the dealership, that purchased vehicles during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Repeat Sales Customers: (Link) The number of repeat sales customers that purchased vehicles during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. If a customer has previously purchased a vehicle at the dealership, he is considered a repeat sales customer. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Other Customers: (Link) The number of customers with no sales or service history with the dealership that purchased vehicles during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
The Interactions Type section is used to compare the number of vehicle sales during each date range that resulted from different customer interactions, such as service appointments or sales campaigns.
The following rows are available in the Interaction Type section.
All Service: (Link) The total number of sales resulting from service interactions for the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
All Campaigns: (Link) The total number of sales resulting from sales campaign interactions for the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
The Pay Type section is used to compare the number of vehicle sales to XtreamService customers of different deal types during each date range.
Note - This section only available when Deal Date is selected in the Type field in the Report Criteria section.
The following rows are available in the Pay Type section.
Cash: (Link) The number of cash deals completed during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Finance: (Link) The number of finance deals completed during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Lease: (Link) The number of lease deals completed during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
The Vehicle Type section is used to compare new, used, and certified vehicle sales to XtreamService customers during each date range.
Note - This section only available when Deal Date is selected in the Type field in the Report Criteria section.
The following rows are available in the Vehicle Type section.
New: (Link) The number of new vehicles sold during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Used: (Link) The number of used vehicles sold during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
Certified: (Link) The number of certified vehicles sold during the selected date ranges displays as a link. Click this link to display the Detailed Results window, where details of the transactions can be reviewed. The percentage change from the previous date range to the current date range also displays.
The Top 5 Vehicle Models Sold section is used to compare the five best selling vehicle models during each date range. Results display for new, used, and certified vehicle models. Information for new vehicles includes the model year as well as the model.
Note - This section only available when Deal Date is selected in the Type field in the Report Criteria section.
The following columns are available in the Top 5 Vehicle Models Sold section.
Top 5 Vehicle Models Sold: The category of vehicle sold, such as New or Used, displays.
Previous Range: The five best selling vehicles during the previous date range display. Vehicles display for new, used, and certified vehicle types.
Current Range: The five best selling vehicles during the current date range display. Vehicles display for both new, used, and certified vehicle types.
